While most settings on the iPhone can be found in the Settings app, one that is missing seems to be a way to change the display of temperature in the Weather app from Fahrenheit to Celsius or Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Here is how to change the units setting for temperature in iOS 5. Other versions might be slightly different:
- Open the Weather app that came with your iPhone.
- Tap on the lowercase “i” icon in a white circle which can usually be found at the bottom right of the screen.
- Touch the °C or °F unit of measure that you prefer for displaying weather temperature at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the Done button at the top right of the screen to exit the weather settings.
The next time you open your Weather app, the weather should appear correctly. Note that this change can affect other weather apps as well.

Hi Judie,
Thank you for your great question. In newer versions of iOS, the icon has changed but it is still in the same place. Launch the Weather app and click on the icon in the lower right corner of the screen to access the settings page. There, near the bottom of the screen you will see a place where you can toggle temperature in C (Celsius) or F (Fahrenheit).
Hope this helps.

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your question. The model of your phone isn’t as important as the version of iOS. Can you tell me which version of iOS your phone has? You should be able to find out by going to your Home screen and clicking on Settings. Next lick on General and then About.
If you can report back with the version of iOS, I should be able to guide you change your settings to Fahrenheit or to Celsius.
If you purchased your phone in a country where Celsius is the standard, your phone’s setting might have come pre-set. Another possibility is that you migrated from a previous iPhone that was set to Celsius. I can only take guesses as to how it ended up in Celsius.

My iPhone 10 went to celcious last week. I went to settings and it shows Fahrenheit. I am using Weatherwise app and can not get it back to Fahrenheit. Rebooting did not help. Just up graded to 12.1.2

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the app Bob. Here are a couple of suggestions:
1) Is your Apple Weather App (the one that come with IOS) in Fahrenheit or Celsius? This will help you determine if the problem is at the iOS level of with the Weatherwise app.
2) Have you tried to contact the author of Weatherwise?
Best regards,
Michael
