For better control of your site and the domain name, consider hiring a professional web developer to create a WordPress.org site that promotes your brand and your business :-).
  • YouTube -- For posting videos of yourself.
  • Chamber of Commerce
  • Entrepreneur/Business Startup Centres
  • Business referral marketing organizations like BNI, GR Business Networking
  • Public Speaking through Toastmasters International, at the Public Library, Schools, Businesses
  • Meetup.com
  • Business cards you collect
  • Churches, Synagogues
  • Clubs where people have similar interests to you (example: photography club)
  • A list all your friends, family/relatives, fellow students, parents of your kids
  • A list all current and past employees, employers, colleagues, partners, service providers, suppliers
  • Learn out where your competitors are finding their customers
  • Referrals from these two lists
  • Contact non-profit organizations and ask them to sponsor a workshop or seminar that you are willing to do for free in order to gain exposure.
  • Your list of 100 people related to your industry. Don’t have one? There is no time like the present to start building your list of resources.
  • Marketing firms that cater to your business (example: IT Consulting Firms) -- there is no shame in sub-contracting your services.
  • Yellow Pages

  • Newsletter (your own or of someone you know in a business similar to yours)
  • Fitness Centres
  • Trade Shows (regardless of whether you are a vendor, presenter or a participant)
  • Community Bulletin Boards (grocery stores, parks, community centres, specially designated street lamp posts)
  • Other businesses that share the your target market (example: hair dresser, doctors office)
  • Put signs up in business windows
  • Put an add in the community newspaper
