I compiled some interesting world stats recently and here is what I found:

Most Popular Search Engines

For most of the countries on our priority market list, Google is BY FAR the most popular search engine. However there are three countries that are exceptions:
  1. China: Baidu
  2. South Korea: Naver (North Korea is very Google)
  3. Taiwan: Yahoo was first last year but is now still in a fairly close second place.

Most Popular Browsers

The browser wars are on and three browsers are high in the running. Despite the fact that Safari is in fairly distant third, it is the predominant browser on all Apple devices.
  1. Microsoft Internet Explorer (~37% and dropping)
  2. Google Chrome (~28% and rising)
  3. Firefox (~25% and dropping)
  4. Safari (~7% and rising)

Most Spoke Languages in the World

Top 10 most spoke language in the world
  1. Mandarin
  2. Spanish
  3. English (most common for International business)
  4. Hindi-Urdu
  5. Arabic
  6. Bengali
  7. Portuguese
  8. Russian
  9. Japanese
  10. German
